Abstract

Pheochromocytoma is a catecholamine-secreting tumour with variable clinical presentations, susceptible to
decompensation in response to systemic or local stimuli. A catecholamine crisis results from an excessive and
sustained release of catecholamines with significant cardiovascular and metabolic effects. On the other hand,
littoral cell angioma is a benign splenic neoplasm associated in the literature with a higher prevalence of synchronous or metachronous visceral tumours, suggesting a possible predisposing factor. The coexistence of both
entities suggests shared biological implications and the need for further research.
